Extending a Helping Hand: Saint Philomene’s Community Service for Flood Victims in Alcala, Cagayan Valley

In the wake of Typhoon #UlyssesPH, the Saint Philomene of Alcala Inc. community stepped up to support those most affected by the calamity. Through the collective efforts of students, staff, and generous donors, we launched a relief operation to provide assistance to our students and their families whose homes were inundated by floodwaters.

We successfully distributed relief packs, reaching students in twelve barangays, including San Esteban, Dalaoig, and Pussian. For students residing near the riverside who could not be reached during this initial operation, arrangements have been made to ensure their share of the relief goods will be delivered.

This mission was made possible through the SPA Fund Drive, which received overwhelming support from donors whose love, generosity, and compassion brought hope to those affected. These contributions enabled us to create meaningful relief packs to address immediate needs during these challenging times.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Barangay Captains and Barangay Officials who helped us coordinate the distribution in an organized and efficient manner. Their leadership ensured that the goods were delivered directly to those in need, emphasizing the spirit of bayanihan that unites us all.
